This paper investigates the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) engagement on firm value, using panel data from China’s A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2023.  Overall, the results suggest that markets reward firms that not only disclose AI engagement but also back it with concrete commitments such as sustained investment and broader digital transformation, consistent with signaling theory.
